Etymology
OT ashadın (sap) Notes
Can also be used to refer to a sweet fruit juice-based sauce used in Sanmra cuisine. It's used on mostly everything, from a meat marinade to dressing a salad (where it's called kunar ni frunel, and it's usually lighter and mixed with, like, oil, similar to a vinaigrette) to dipping flatbread (saiha) in. It's more of a thicker, syrupy thing than nesi (or even plain, unaltered yad).
