About Tlarak
Tlarak is the language of the Tlarak, a forest-dwelling people of north-central Wynig. A Northeastern language, Tlarak is a blend between an analytic and synthetic language, largely due to influence from the small Gaki language family in the northeast of Wynig, with some tenses and auxiliaries being marked on the verb and others, as well as some moods, being marked with particles. The influence of the Gaki languages in between its development from Marandaes to modern Tlarak caused the elimination of many phonemes and morphemes.
The Tlarak occupy a large, forested region in north-central Wynig that ranges from temperate highlands in the south to subarctic mountains in the north. They build their homes by twisting young trees together and allowing them to grow into the shape they desire, and abandoned homes are often reclaimed by new residents because of their longevity. The Tlarak are suspected of having supernatural powers that allows them to influence the trees.
