Ofofen's grammar is very simple: it has only a few rules, but by following them strictly you can be quite unambigous. Alternatively, you can break them (within reason) to make speech faster and more intuitive.

The basic syntax of an Ofofen sentence is:
 "[Subject] u [Object] [Verb]"

Note the particle "u": this must be present between the subject and object.
For example:
 "no u te nim."
 I (u) water drink
I drink water.

Within this structure, any word (except for particles) can act as any part of speech.

(Note also that the beginning of sentences need not be capitalised)

In a sentence with no verb, the verb "to be" is implied:
 "no u tan."
 I (u) woman
I am a woman.

In intransitive constructions, the particle "u" goes between the subject and the verb.
 "no u nom."
 I (u) eat
I am eating./I eat.
