This conscript is no longer used and this article is obsolete. It's become a chore to maintain and with how much I'm changing the phonology at the moment, it isn't worth trying to update the script along with it. For the time being, it has been replaced with the Latin script. However, this article is still here for archival purposes.

Solish has a unique orthography that is used to write the language. It's simple to understand is intuitive to write.

Let's start with the vowels, these are the easiest to understand:
a - a
aa - aa
e - e
ee - ee
i - i
ii - ii
o - o
oo - oo
u - u
uu - uu
y - y
yy - yy

Notice how the long forms of the vowels have a line above them. This is to indicate that they are to be pronounced long.
However, to make syllables, we don't just write the vowels on their own, unless the word starts with a vowel. We have to combine it with other consonants to convey a syllable.

The consonants are as follows:
m - m
n - n
p - p
b - b
t - t
d - d
k - k
g - g
f - f
v - v
s - s
z - z
x - x
j - j
h - h
l - l
r - r

All of the consonants have little "staffs" at the top, protruding from the base, which is the actual consonant. These tops are placeholders, and we replace the top with a vowel to communicate the syllable.

For example:
ma - ma
me - me
mi - mi
mo - mo
mu - mu
my - my

In Solish, these vowels at the top are called imiikalenen (imiikalenen), or "flags".
All syllables work like this, making it intuitive to understand.

To specify the vowel is to be pronounced long, simply write a line over the syllable:
maa - maa
mee - mee
mii - mii
moo - moo
muu - muu
myy - myy

Geminated/long consonants use a slightly different form of the base consonant, usually indicated by an extra line or connecting a shape in the consonant:
edda - edda (to manage)
hujjan - hujjan (lion)
yssera - yssera (crime)
mullu - mullu (empty)
dappu - dappu (to match)

eyyy i love scripts that add vowels onto consonants in the form of "flags" !

also I like how the characters are unique enough to easily read a run-on sentence but similar enough to clearly appear as part of the same alphabet. awesome script
