These are called first-, second- and third-conjugation verbs, or Â, RE and Î verbs based on the letters their infinitive forms end in. The latter two conjugations contain multiple sub-types, and the second conjugation in particular contains many completely irregular verbs, like étre (to be). This article will list the three paradigms considered most regular or the most prototypical.
