Refers to a dark yellow fruit of the holvat tree. Native to northern subtropics, but later spread to southern subtropics as well. Known in English as "holvat", which ultimately derives from this Ashbarni word.
So called "holvat mush" was a very common food in Ashbar; the fruit was cut in half, the flesh was taken out of the peel and it had its juice drained. The juice was sweetened and thickened with meak (a treesap-like sweetener) and mixed again with the cut-up pulp. Often it was also served in the peel.
