About Taurayan After destroyed Amedura in 971 BC and becoming the new emperor of Retenians, Ulkurash the Great decide to move his capital at Tauraya (nowadays named Etora), a city between the Great Central Plain and South-East Retenia.
Peoples in this region speaks a dialect of Old Retenian and when Tauraya become the capital of the new Taurayan empire, Taurayan dialect become the new official language in the empire and slowly replace Old Retenian as "Lingua franca" in Retenia.

Taurayan empire will rise and expand his territory untill the Gaulish invasion between 230 BC and 180 BC. After that, the Great Central Plain (GCP) will be ruled by gaulish clans untill the rise of Antareyan kingdom, 400 years later. During this time, Gaulish elite of the GCP will adopt Taureyan language and it was as this moment that celtic words enter in retenian vocabulary.

Taurayan is the ancestor of  Standard Retenian ,Old Antareyan and Luridic.

Morphology of Taurayan was mainly analytic.
-Noun declension was in way of disappearance.
-Verb conjugation of Early Old Retenian was no longer present (except for auxiliaries) in early Taurayan.
Disappearance of declensions and conjugation was characteristic of South-eastern Late-Old-Retenian dialects where Taurayan have its origins.

Taurayan script was a mix between a syllabary and logographic script derived from Old Retenian logographic script.
Towards 700 BC, due to contacts with mediterranean civilisations, a script based on phoenician abjad rise on the south-eastern coast in merchant cities like Anenara.
