Negation
Standard Bodin uses the negative prefix toi-, which can be used on any part of speech to negate that specific word. For example, toiscanami na "I didn't see it" (also used for general "I didn't see it") vs. scanami toina "I didn't see it" vs. scana toimi na "I didn't see it". Toi- is etymologically related to tor "nothing, zero". Using multiple toi- in one sentence cancels to form a weaker affirmative ("I didn't not see it").

Derivation
See this article.

Aspect and aktionsart
Standard Bodin doesn't have grammatical aspect, but it has one important word that affects lexical aspect: roi, etymologically derived from an ancestral word meaning always.

Adding roi before the verb in a sentence indicates that the verb's action is permanently continuing (for durative verbs) or forever repeating (for punctual verbs). It is often used in proverbs and in stating laws of the universe or religion.

When used in place of a zero-copula, roi indicates that the quality assigned to the subject is inherent and/or permanent. Basically, if you would use ser in Spanish, you use roi in Bodin; if you would use estar in Spanish, you drop the copula in Bodin.
