[edit] [top]Tone Shifts

note: $ represents one syllable, H and L represent high and low tone, M is mid, R rising, F falling.

HLL on $$ > LL on $$ plus a floating H to the left, which raises any existing tone, H default.
A long vowel with LH contour will become a short vowel with H, while the L shifts left as a floating tone.
Apart from that, most H > M.
The LH>LL development prepausally in Wa Ñi was reanalyzed as a default floating L marking the end of a declarative sentence, which mean that H,M > F in those positions.
This also began to apply at the end of a verb without a complement and at the end of direct noun phrases.

[edit] [top]Consonant Mergers

l > y
r > ʔ / _# (end of syllable)
r > h
ľ,ř > Ø / [+rhotic] _
ľ > x
ř > ȥ / C_, _[+back]
ř > w
c > : / _[+son -vowel]
c > Ø / V_V
c > f
Ø > x / #_

[edit] [top]Nasal Assimilation

[+nasal] > [x PoA] / _ [x PoA]
