The Lower Noun FormsLike the Higher Noun Forms, Lower Noun Forms also deal with noun functions outside of case, but they are not declined the same way as the Higher Noun Forms-; suffixes or particles are used and added to the end of the noun in the nominative case. Marking case is not necessary with the Lower Noun Forms, and one would never use a case particle with them. The most common form is the Ambiguity Form (the only LNF surviving in Bulgrojma), but others exist. These function to deal with relationships and purpose, but are a bit weirder than the other forms.
-iм - Ambiguity (Lower Noun Form A)
This form is self-explanatory; it intentionally makes something more ambiguous or open-ended.
«Пор Рисикс», in Rissik, becomes «Пор Рисиксім», in the vicinity of Rissik.
«Дозӱм твать-аўкс», until 3:00, becomes «Дозӱм тватьім-аўкс», until about 3:00.
-ика - General Applicability
This Form is used for a sort of "4th Person" effect. It is used for sorts of "in general" statements, producing that sort of effect on the noun. For example,
«Спесин молкрамяв цирайть воруту» - The people must guard the realm (these people)
«Спесиника молкрамяв цирайть воруту» - People must guard the realm (some people)
The first sentence could be referring to a specific group of people while the second is a general statement. It is akin to saying "people should" instead of "these people should".
-ілк - Group
This Form is used to turn a noun into a group of that noun. Note that this is different than a plural noun because this is used to infer that the noun is a group, not multiple instances of a noun. Only singulars are used here.
Спесин -> Спесинілк - People as a group, e.g., Американє Спесинілк, "the American people."
If you had said Американи Спесини, it would refer to a specific group of Americans, not the American people as a whole. People as a collective noun in some Drao-Parn languages evolved out of the lower form.
Ағаст -> Ағастілк - Language as a group, e.g., "The Drao-Parn Languages" is Дра͡о Парн Ағастілк ✎ Edit Article ✖ Delete Article
