About panaftakid (good language)
(Updated)
There's only a few words in the vocabulary list because this started out as a substitution cipher for English based on http://tny.im/luw (not mine), with a few words changed to avoid conflicts like 'we' to avoid conflict with 'way' The rules are a WIP. I'm moving away from that because you just can't generate enough words that way. I'm using toki pona & Esperanto to a lesser extent as a basis to generate words. 'toki' is the toki pona word for speech so I replaced the 'i' at the end with a constant to form a 3-word root. To make it predictable I used the other phonetically similar letter 't' becomes 'd', 'l' becomes 'r' etc;. 'tækid' (تاکِد) becomes a speaker (person), tika (تِکِاد) becomes the verb "to speak", takad (تاکاد) becomes "(a) speech" with a similar idea for other words. That does cause ambiguity if using toki pona as the primary language. The word 'toki' means speech as well as being the word for 'language' & with the addition of the 'e' particle also means "to speak". Theres ~125 words in toki pona, but the amount of words I could create from each one varies. For example 'lili' means 'little'. I could only really make a couple words out of that.
grammar/spelling (work in progress)
- 'we' is واڤِی (wavī)
- 'and' is کٰه (kah) from esperanto 'kaj'
-doubled letters are indicated using " ّ ". See above
- long vowels use letters, short vowels use hārākāt (normally omitted).
- plural= an اً palaban پالاباً buildings
- quality in اٍ panafin پانافاٍ goodness/happiness
- negation un اٌ takadun تاکاداٌ
tenses
present= at ات tikatat تکاتات speaking
past= īt یت tikatīt تکاتیت spoke
future= ut وت tikatut تکاتوت will speak
I used examples of Arabic root conjugation to create the vocabulary
-aa-i = the doer
writer - kaatib - کاتِب | root: root meaning: write | root کتب
sleeper - naa'im - نائِم | root: root meaning: sleep | نام
walker - maashii - ماشِي | root: root meaning: walk | مشی
-a-a- noun of place
office | maktab مَکتَب root: root meanin
