About Yalluacan Yalluacan is a language spoken in the nation of Yalluaca. It was created ~700 years ago by Ka'an Hapuk, the man who unified all seven provinces of modern Yalluaca. The language is primarily based on the now endangered Halli, but incorporates grammar and words from every major language of the region. It is spoken now in all major cities, most regions of the countryside and as a second language by nearly all Yalluacan people. Yalluaca is a fictional nation on a peninsula that steps into a large freshwater sea, situated in the centre of the tropics. The climate ranges from subtropical to rainforest, and there is a population of ~4.5 million people. Yalluacan has 17 consonants (p k t h j l m n q s ɬ t͡ɬ t͡ʃ ʃ t͡s w ŋ) and 5 vowels (a e i o u). Each vowel can be elongated, alongside most consonants. The language follows Ergative allignment, having the following grammatical cases: Locative, Ergative, Genitive, Absolutive, Instrumental. It also has three verb classes: transitive, intransitive one, and intransitive two, which are conjugated differently from one another and differently between the language's seven main tenses. It is polysynthetic and verb-forward in nature, taking aspects from languages like Nahuatl and Kalaallisut.
