About Vortesian Vortesian is a Bluelandic language spoken by the Vortesian people in the Bluelandic Union. It belongs within the Noviaka branch.

Vortesian is an official recognized language in the Bluelandic Union, mostly spoken in Vortesia. It is the most widely spoken home language in Blueland, with about 53% of Blueland's population speaking it at home. It is also the most widely spoken Bluelandic language. It is written in the Latin script. A standardized variety of it known as Bluelandic is also used as the country's national language.

The language is an agglutinative language with vocabulary and influence originally deriving from the Bantu languages of South Africa (Zulu, Xhosa, Tswana), however, some of the vocabulary and language features have been mostly a priori as of recently. Vortesian, as with other Bluelandic languages, is primarily a pitch-accent language in a similar fashion to Japanese. I wouldn't call it my finest language, but it is definitely one that I hold dear.

[edit] [view] jeJuwu (Juvulandic)Juvulandic Vortesian is spoken in Juvuland, a predominantly Vortesian region spanning parts of Blueland and Leedonia. It is mainly separated by political borders, as well as mountains. This isolation, as well as influence from the nearby Ikyutan language, has caused the dialect to diverge drastically from standard Vortesian, and is considered mutually unintelligible with standard Vortesian.
