About Tyrrhenian Tyrrhenian (Tyrrhenian: Tirénigo *********) is a Romance language that is spoken in islands in the Tyrrhenian sea, Corsica, Sardinia, northern Sicily, Calabria, Campania, Lazio, parts of Umbria, parts of Tuscany, Liguria and areas around Nice. In the latter four, a dialect called Ligurian (Liguro li.ˈgu.ɾo) is spoken.
