About Suionns In the year 2035, Earthlings discovered a new planet -- similar to their own -- in a distant galaxy. The scientific community soon came to the conclusion that this planet was indeed habitable and Earthlings scrambled to assemble their forces. By 2047, a massive ship had been constructed in Paris, France and around 40,000 people were selected to join on this expedition to the new planet. Roughly 20,000 passengers spoke French, 9,000 spoke Spanish, 4,000 spoke Italian, 2,000 spoke English, 2,000 spoke Portuguese, 1,000 spoke German, 1,000 spoke Russian, 500 spoke Swedish, and 500 spoke Polish.
Over the course of this ship's 250 year travel, the languages mixed and melded into a mildly romantic dialect known as Seinni. When the passengers exited the ship, they were met with aliens that were almost identical to humans, so much so that they had the ability to interbreed. These aliens were known as the Osene people. After centuries of interbreeding and living in the new world (called Yrik by locals), Suionns evolved, a mix of Seinni and Kitsae (the native tongue in the area). Today, Suionns is the dominant language of the nation of Osene and is used for politics, business, and daily life. Kitsae is still an official language of Osene, however it is only used in smaller rural communities and is only the language of daily life in two Ytokuepe (states). Suionns has yet to become an international language, but is still successful within Osene's borders.
