About Ramantum
Ramantum is a Rumaeno-Romance (constructed language branch which also includes 2 of my other Romance conlang projects: Diremenci and Eiramantum) language originally based in Spain, but now is not specified to be in any specific country or landmass. It is derived from Vulgar Latin as with other Romance languages, but in some cases is more conservative with how far it's evolved from Vulgar Latin compared to others. Some interesting decisions I decided to make which I've re-evaluated on during several occasions is the inclusion of Arabic loanwords, and the characters "č", "š", "ž", "đ", "ħ", and "ġ". This should be the final version of this language, though. My decision to make these inclusions helps the language stick out a bit more than my previous Romance language endeavors, some of which end up feeling more like a dialect of an existing language rather than something that can be viewed on its own.
Most of the language's words are similar to Latin and Spanish, but some words like "abhec" and "outum" clearly have their relations elsewhere. (i.e. French and Italian).
This is my first language properly submitted to Conworkshop, as I feel it is the one I've been most comfortable fully developing as of late. However, I do plan to also include my other conlangs when I feel like it.
