About Quille
The "Old Tongue." Believed to be the first language of The Land, once spoken by the Old Faeries and by the first generation of High Elves. Since then, Elven language has evolved into Kilya and most faeries speak Quel, but the oldest faeries in the Shimmering Isles still speak the Old Tongue.
Quille:
- is head-final (except numerals), erg/abs, agglutinative
- uses a duodecimal (base-12) base counting system
- has no noun classes but eleven nominal and six pronominal cases
- long vowels are marked with an acute accent (e.g. ó = oː)
- (C)(C)V(C) syllable structure (but all words must start with a consonant)
