About Proto-Vari-Kaytak-Sentian
i have no idea what im doing btw (back deriving is NOT fun)
- back-front vowel harmony, the mid vowels are neutral (characteristic in the entire family, except maybe the sentian branch)
- extra short /ɪ̆ ʊ̆/ (think slavic yers) for consonant cluster fuckery reasons in the vari branch
- two major dialects: one that labializes consonants before high back vowels and one that doesn't
- some number of noun classes (will likely evolve into animacy in some branches)
- probably analytic, with its daughters being agglutinative/fusional
