About Pre-Owina
Pre-Owina was the ancestor of the Owina branch of the Indo-European family spoken around 2000 BC; its modern-day descendants are spoken across east Siberia and Alaska.
It was an SOV, nominative-accusative, fusional language with four grammatical genders (masculine, neuter, feminine, and a "thematic" gender formed from conflation of PIE thematically-inflecting nouns), the five basic vowels, and phonemic stress. It had completely lost PIE's dual, had greatly lost the productivity of PIE's ablaut system, instead using mostly affixes to inflect and derive words, and was also in the process of abandoning PIE's aspect system. However, it had formed a fully functional tense system and innovated two additional noun cases: an illative and a comitative.
