About Ordos
Ordos (known by its speakers as 塞語 Sakñu - Saka Language) is an Indo-European language spoken by around 2000 Ordos People living in the southern portion of the Ordos Loop. It is spoken by the descendants of the Ordos Culture of China, which survived in the harsh deserts in the plateau. The modern Ordos are primarily pastoral nomads like their ancestors, and have little direct contact with the Han Chinese due to the later being unwilling to settle in the area, and the Ordos being unwilling to leave the loop.
