About Old Caembalan
A language I started making for a friend as a precursor to the current Common in their DnD setting. It was meant to be somewhat understandable to English, so it takes its vocabulary primarily from modern, middle, and old English, as well as a mishmash of Germanic ones. Its original use got scrapped pretty quickly, but I'm gonna try to revive it because I have no active a posteriori languages rn
In-universe, it's around 600 years old, and the only remaining speakers are scholars immortals.
