About Nyjichun This is a constructed language, inspired by Thundercats, and meant to be the native language of Wilykit and Wilykat (Wolvikyi and Wyβkyo'yt in Ŋyjichɯn), and my original character Felino (Fallinŋuu). Wilykit and Wilykat are from a Wanrin tribe and Felino is from a Taijin tribe.

The current forms of Modern Ŋyjichɯn diverged about 200 years ago. The people are properly called Ŋɯɒzjuu, but Ŋyji is more commonly used.

Speakers of the Wanrin dialects live in the East, among the more diverse landscape of hills, patchy forest, and meadows, and have interacted more thoroughly with outsiders. They rely more on trade and create beautiful metalwork. Most people’s preconception of Ŋɯɒzjuu are based on the Wanrin.

Taijin dialect speakers live in the more isolated and heavily forested West. They are fierce fighters and creators of beautiful basketry, woodcarving, and carpentry. They sometimes hire themselves out as mercenaries.

Ŋyjichɯn’s rules of stress and alternation make proper pronunciation slightly obscure. For example, Ŋyjichɯn is pronounced n***ʏt*ɯ*

Modern Ŋyjichɯn is a polysynthetic language with heavy noun-incorporation, affixing, and reduplication. This results in sentences contained in a single word. All words can act as verbs with no modification, and the majority of words can also be used as nouns.

While Ŋyjichɯn nominally has a subject-object-verb word order, in practice it has free word order used to mark importance.

Modern Ŋyjichɯn smoothed out a lot of Middle Ŋyjichɯn’s oddities, changing most of its paradigms to regular forms. Along the way many of Middle Ŋyjichɯn’s compound words became unanalyzable, leaving Modern Ŋyjichɯn with a range of roots covering what Ylis speakers would consider the same meaning space.

Ŋyjichɯn makes heavy use of ideophones as a basic part of their vocabulary.
