About Kananite Originally spoken on the southern Ilyrian Peninsula, Kananite is a daughter language of the Biacolathi family spoken on the far southern coast. Kananite descends from the Outer Arm Dialects and is only found on the Isle of Kana. How the language came to the island is explained somewhat truthfully by the Kananite's origin myth.

Before the Kananites lived on the northern Island, they lived in a land far to the south. There Nanak, the youngest member of the tribal council met the South Sea Goddess. Her beauty was breath taking, but Nanak was already arranged to wed another. Despite this, he approached her, and being beautiful himself, the Goddess fell instantly in love with the mortal. Through their love she found him to be good of heart and honest, and the sea overflowed with bounty during the height of their love. However, his duty and responsibility to his tribe lead him to eventually leave the South Sea for a mortal woman. Enraged and hurt, the South Sea poisoned the waters, turning them a putrid green and emptying them of all life. Not shortly after, starving and scared, Nanak took 7 families with his and set out to travel north where hopefully they could find better fishing grounds. When the South Sea saw their flight, she flew into a rage and unleashed upon them a typhoon to tear their boats asunder. Before drowning them all, the storm took them north, where the North Sea Goddess took pity on their plight. She offered her sister a deal, spare the humans and she shall never have to see them again. The South Sea accepted on the condition that any descendent of Nanak or his conspirators may not cross into her waters less they be sank instantly.
The North Sea agreed and brought them, tired and beaten to the shores of the Isle of Kana.

Isolated from other speakers of related languages and not interacting with the other locals, Kananite is more innovating than other Biacolathi Dialects.
