About Standard Išlyci
Typically simply known as Išlyci, Etaišlyci is the standard primary spoken language of Išlyca, a country on the supercontinent Nivaia with about 500 million inhabitants, who are anthropomorphic animals.
Numerous dialectal varieties exist, though the standard language described here serves as a common ground to allow communication between even the most mutually unintelligible dialects.
Allophones are common due to various physiologies and mouth shapes of different species.
Agglutinative and combining, long words are common.
Numbers use a base-6 system.
The idea of this language has been in my head for years, but I'm now doing a substantial rewrite of the entire thing, revamping it from "google translated russian in a funny script" to its own, actual, a priori language. This is a new thing for me, and while I have been interested in linguistics for a while, I have fairly limited knowledge, so it may not be perfect!
