About Henoenian Mesaic Henoenian is the most widely-spoken of the Mesaic languages, with almost a million native speakers in the Eurytean plain alone. It is descended from the dialect of Henoe, former seat of the Mesean royal court, but is now spoken much further afield, including among most of the urban poor of the current capital, Intyle.

Henoenian, like most other Mesaic languages, is generally verb-initial, but the verb itself is preceded in finite clauses by an obligatory bound pronoun which expresses person, tense, and polarity. The concept of what constitutes a 'verb' may be quite fuzzy, with nominal and verbal roots alike requiring a suffixed copula to function verbally.
