About Dreamspeak
This is a fan made concept of how the Dreamspeak language sounds in the Forest from the Averno Universe. (Averno/)
Roughly based as a mix of the Siouan languages (mostly Assiniboine since that's what documentation I found), English, Swedish, and German. Since the Forest's land is based on the Manahoac Nation, a group of Siouan-language Indigenous people, I wanted to make the language "come from the land." There is also an in-lore theory that Dreamspeak is comprised of the ineffable quality of thought, dreams, whatever language the gods talk in, etc; from which I am taking the idea of it comprising thought to be that it is molded by how the people think, so it is absorbing bits of the languages of the children who learn it.
