About Californian
Californian is a Spanish-derived language historically spoken by Latino settlers of California, and now by the majority of Californians. The language broke off from Spanish after a period of isolation followed by a large Chinese and American influx into California, bringing new grammar devices and words into Californian.
- Californian has a SVO word order but can change word order (rarely) for means of poetry, art, emphasis of a certain object, etc...
- Californian has no cases, like its parent language Spanish.

Additional NotesAcute accents are still present to indicate stress; however, the stress of a word mostly lands on the penultimate vowel, and the accent only shows up if the stress of a word has shifted or if it is simply not on the penultimate.
