Menu 1. Basic Counting 2. Larger Numbers
[edit] [top]Basic Counting

The cardinal numbers 1-10 are:
fiya (1), miya (2), moiya (3), nimiya (4), otiya (5), piya (6), mamiya (7), niya (8), hiya (9), and ohiya (10).
There is no zero.

In more casual situations, the cardinal numbers are simplified:
fi (1), mi (2), moi (3), nimi (4), oti (5), pi (6), mami (7), ni (8), hi (9), and ohi (10).

The ordinal forms (1st, 2nd, etc.) use -leye instead of -ya:
fileye, mileye, moileye, nimileye, otileye, pileye, mamileye, nileye, hileye, and ohileye.

The teens are formed, 11-20, by prefixing g̃a- to the beginning.
11 is g̃afiya, 15 is g̃aotiya, and 20 is g̃aohiya.

The tens are formed, 21-30, 31-40, etc., by doing the same but additional prefixing the root of the relevant number.
So if 2 is miya, then 21 is mig̃afiya, or mig̃a for short.
30 is mig̃aohiya (twenty-ten), and 35 is moig̃aotiya (thirty-five).

This structure persists all the way up to 99.

[edit] [top]Larger Numbers

The Hundreds starts a slight shift in number structure.
Unlike the previous tens and teens (1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc), it is 100-199, 200-299, 300-399 etc.
100 is simply g̃ō.
101 is g̃ōfiya, 115 is g̃ōg̃aotiya, and 135 is g̃ōmoig̃aotiya.
200 is mig̃ō.
300: moig̃ō
400: nimig̃ō
500: otig̃ō
600: pig̃ō
700: mamig̃ō
800: nig̃ō
900: hig̃ō

The Thousands are similar to the 100s but instead of g̃oo, they use goho.
So 1000 is goho and 2000 is migoho.
And so on.
