Menu 1. Honorifics Honorifics are very important in the Fangu culture, to the point which a Fangu person would either notify that you didn't use the correct honorific (or didn't use them at all), or ask you to say the sentence again or never talk to that person again.

ebɔ - male elders
ebɔkwɛ - female elders
yabɔ - someone younger than you
ŋyéabɔ - a prominent person
mboābɔ - a friend
mbiēbɔ - a friend of a friend
ŋqōbɔ - someone you know
ntshiē - someone you don't know
mbitshiē - a friend of someone you don't know, who you do know
eboā - parent of a friend
ebiē - parent of someone you don't know
ŋyéaboāéŋ - a prominent person who happens to know you
wosia - family member
ntshia - someone you don't know who turns out to be a long lost relative
wosebɔ - your grandfather
wosebɔkwɛ - your grandmother
wō‎ŋqám - Mr./Mister
wōkw‎ɛ - Ms./Miss
wō‎ŋkw‎ɛ‎mbe - Mrs./Missus
