This article describes spells as they ought to be written. There is no care for commonality or usefulness of the spell.
Fireball
This spell will summon and launch a five-inch radius fireball in a trajectory away from the caster. Fireball is a low-cost spell despite its use of a high cost component, as there is no main loop -- this however means that there is a limited range on the distance the fireball can cover.

Exploding Fireball
This will summon and launch a five-inch radius fireball in a trajectory away from the caster; when the spell makes contact with anything solid, it will detonate in a twenty-foot radius. This spell adapts off of the basic fireball, adding the elemental division component scur. As a result, this spell is a bit more costly; however, as the spell lacks a main loop, the mana required for the spell is still quite low.

Notice the use of secdere. Instead of saying dere dere to continue two blocks, this word may be said to mean the same thing.
Delayed Blast Fireball
This will summon and launch a five-inch radius fireball in a trajectory away from the caster; when the spell makes contact with anything solid, it will begin a three second countdown, at the end of which the fireball will detonate in a twenty-foot radius. This wordy spell is not actually much more costly than Exploding Fireball, but it does use a timer component, and as such is the first spell of this list to have a continual cost.

Several things to note here. First, hó...de...och serves to indicate where the bounds of gesóch's arguments. The marker de is used to indicate where one argument ends and the second begins. The construction is not actually necessary, but is there for clarity. Aecsedh flút reasóch essentially means 'three seconds after contact with solid'; it is important to note that flút is using it's token form here to minimize open and closes, which while not expensive gum up the spell.
Evaporate:
This spell changes a twenty-foot radius sphere of water into a gas, until the caster ends it. It will still spend mana even if the sphere is already a gas.

gas
Note that the spell begins with dere. This skips the pre-cast block, and moves to the main loop. If the spell had instead been in the pre-cast block, the sphere of water would have been altered for only a moment. Since it is in the main block, the spell will continually expend mana until the caster manually ends it.
