Verbs in Bolspeak are formed by adding person markers to nouns. These markers encode both person and animacy. We'll start with how the latter is defined, as that's simpler.
Like most Pommeverses-based languages, Bolspeak makes a grammatical distinction between sapient people, nonsapient animals, and inanimate objects. However, Bolspeak also has separate markers for plants, general situations, and Bol angels/nonbol spirits or corpses. In addition, people, animals, plants, and objects each have two markers depending on whether they are the subject or the object of the verb.
