Majinian numbers use a base 12 system. Each number has 2 forms- the Base long form, and the short form for combinations and fractions.
Numbers are always capitalised.
The short and long forms are as follows (base 10 equivalents in brackets):
Number | Long Form | Short Form |
0 | Notła | - |
1 | Yösö | Yö |
2 | Tasa | Ta |
3 | Tojoma | To |
4 | Neyeşä | Nye |
5 | Vyezä | Vye |
6 | Tuza | Tu |
7 | Séstä | Sé |
8 | Ţaza | Ţa |
9 | Jözä | Jö |
A (10) | Tübedä | Tü |
B (11) | Cósca | Có |
10 (12) | Resä | Re |
100 (144) | Saça | Sa |
1,000 (1,728) | Ǧäcyö | Ǧä |
1,000,000 (2,985,984) | Mejóna | Mejó |
To form double-digit numbers, long forms are simply stuck together with an apostrophe, e.g 45 (53) = Nye'vye, "Four'five".
Triple and above numbers must carry hundred, thousand and million markers, e.g. 612 (878) = Tu'sa'yö'ta "Six'hundred'one'two", 2,126 (3,630) = Ta'ǧä'yö'sa'ta'tu "Two'thousand'one'hundred'two'six".
Notła is only used for zero for whole numbers; other uses of 0 must use Re, Sa, or Ǧä, e.g 405 (581) = Nye'sa'vye "Four'hundred'five", 450 (636) = Nye'sa'vye're "Four'hundred'five'ten.
Ordinals:
Number | Long Form | Ordinal |
0 | Notła | - |
1 | Yösö | Yötsä |
2 | Tasa | Tanéze |
3 | Tojoma | Tojobaza |
4 | Neyeşä | Nyedja |
5 | Vyezä | Vyeraza |
6 | Tuza | Turaza |
7 | Séstä | Séceza |
8 | Ţaza | Ţaretsa |
9 | Jözä | Jöretsa |
A (10) | Tübedä | Tüvyäedza |
B (11) | Cósca | Córoza |
10 (12) | Resä | Retşä |
100 (144) | Saça | Saçedza |
1,000 (1,728) | Ǧäcyö | Ǧäcödza |
1,000,000 (2,985,984) | Mejóna | Megyódza |
All other ordinals are constructed by adding -dza.
Fractions are constructed by using Notła, e.g 1/3 (0.25) = No'to "Zero'three", A 1/4 (10.33...) = Tü-no-nye "A'zero'four".
