About Zari'kka/Hyyrikoan Creole
Zari'kka - literally "strange or deformed child" in the native Hyyrikoan language - is a creole derived from Old Japanese and an Ice-age Beringian language named Odomla-Dak'kuga, with influence from Ancient Egyptian and the aforementioned native Hyyrikoan language. It sprung from a pidgin language developed so that the various groups of people who were magically transported to the world of Iuldar could communicate with one another, and with the natives. "Zari'kka" is also the name given to the half-breeds that resulted from the interbreeding of these transdimensional immigrants and the natives, a word that would later evolve into the name they are more commonly known as: 'Jhiriska'.
