Around 5000 B.I. a sound change occurred in Proto Sesettu.
In an unstressed syllable, after a neutral consonant the vowel is dropped.

For example:
"Hatta Kaya" becomes "Hatta kay".

Shortly after the long consonant "tt" before an unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable, became pronounced as "r".
And the vowel before it, loses its stress.

For example:
"Settu Settu" becomes "Seru Settu".
