noun [GI] Gender Inflected ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu barramm'u
[ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu]
romance
(love)
 Mighty
Etymology
Etymology of Creation: Looked up love in three of my dictionaries. Got Nostratic: 235a. *bÅr{h}V 'be hungry, want' (‘ 'love'); Sumerian: Love - ARAMMU; Mayan: *ra?h - love, *ra?h - pain. So I felt those three kind of conveyed a base sense of what I think of for Mighty love, that it is as much biological imperative / need as affection.

Tried to work them together into a single Mighty word and came up with ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu - which I think might end up being the obvious category, translation, for love.

Love as we tend to use it in modern terms, is most closely associated with the greek type of love (they had four basic types) eros.

I do picture Mighty distinguishing between multiple types so eros, is I feel the most appropriate translation of this type of love.
Notes
ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu means love, in the terms of passion, romance, and the physical need for someone else. Ardor.

Neuter gender ˧ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu: love, passion, romance, desire (sexual).

Masculine gender ˦ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu: Erotic / Sexual Desire (for a particular person)

Feminine gender ˨ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu: Erotic / Sexual Desire (in general), horny.

Super Masculine gender ˥ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu: This is a concept I’m not quite sure how to get across. It would be related to the English idea of the Femme Fatale, but it isn’t the Femme Fatale, it is the person who chases the Femme Fatale, abandoning propriety for passion. Not quite maniacal love, but reckless love, love that leads you into making poor decisions.

Super Feminine gender ˩ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu: Heat, Must, Going into season. This isn’t purely physical though, it also corresponds to the idea of biological clock - less in terms of child bearing, and more that it is time to find a mate, it is the abstract desire for love, passion, romance, and sex - but is an active, rather than a passive abstract, this implies actively pursuing and winnowing through potential mates. I would use slut but the connotation in English is far too negative for how Mighty perceive this. It’s about as culturally risqué in Mighty as needing to go to the restroom. This is a normal bodily function, it might not be something one flaunts, but there is NO negative connotation to it.

Child gender ˩˥ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu: This best translates to playing house, including mimicking the sex act. It’s cutesy play. Or simple exploration. This is less about love, passion, romance, and sex, and more about figuring out what it is for yourself. It doesn’t have to reflect purely childish play either. This is also probably a good translation of a chunk of modern dating, just figuring out how you fit together and what you want.

Affectionate gender ˧˥ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu: Love, as in, “I Love you.” This is a direct statement of feeling the concept of ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu for the person you are talking to.

Other gender ˧˩ɓʰɑʀɑmʡu: Kinky / Deviant / Unnatural / Squicky Love. While not quite on the level we might put sexual offender / sexual offense, this carries the heavy implication that there is something wrong with the love the person is feeling. There’s something obviously off about the relationship / desire / feeling.
