About Vlekic Vlekic, or Tekuunic, is spoken in the Vlaeik (or Tekuuna) region of the artificial world Ulya. Like other Ulyic languages it descends from

Ulyan. Unlike other early languages of the Greater Aprosi region of Ulya it was not designed or influenced by the Iya or other "outworlders". Rather, it evolved among the "free people" of Vlaeik.

Some features of Vlekic:

Somewhat agglutinative, with an ergative-absolutive alignment.
Word order is mostly VSO and head-final.
Most verbs are strictly transitive or intransitive, subject to some valency increasing and decreasing constructions. Tense is always marked: unmarked verbs are infinitives.
All nouns fall into one of three classes, roughly based on animacy. These classes are: numen (NUM or G1Gender 1 (gender/class)
for nonsemantic, very language-specific, or not-yet-added word classes; relating to the Iya and outworlders in general, the world itself and its major features), sentient (SEN, SENTSentient (class)
e.g. humans or G2Gender 2 (gender/class); generally relating to living things, especially humans and other "higher" lifeforms), and common (COM, CCommon gender (gender/class)
common gender or G3Gender 3 (gender/class); "lower" lifeforms, non-living things, abstract nouns, and various nouns that do not fall into the first two classes). Noun class agreement occurs in adjectives, determiners, and elsewhere.

neutral or neuter) is distinguished in 3rd person singular pronouns. Noun classes also affect pronouns. First person pronouns are always in SEN form. Second person pronouns occur in NUM and SEN/COM forms. Third person pronouns differ by all three classes.
Three vowels occur in short and long forms (i, u, a), and two in short form only (e, o). Some consonants occur in short and long forms (m, n, l, s, and z).
The consonants m, n, and r can be syllabic and form the nucleus of a syllable. When syllabic they are written with a dot: ṁ, ṅ, ṙ.

The Vlekic dialect presented here is that from the time of the Obliteration of Naa-tlisk City.
