About Etrian
Etriah are an aquatic species on the same planet as Eshka (see most of my other languages). Their language is musical and uses pitch intervals instead of phonemes, combining melodies for words and and grammatical harmonies. They can produce 2 pitches simultaneously and independently by moving air through special pockets, probably located in their head.
Etrian has a writing system that's been largely lost to the ages. The carvings have been found in some deserts, and while there are also examples still underwater, most if not all Etriah are illiterate.
