[view] About TirkicThe Tirkic family is a family of languages spoken in the Tihrk Archipelago (Tihrk Island, Sol Islands and Mehlan Islands).

[edit] [view] Ughsarkommskit / Ughsarkommskiht (Southern Tihrkian)While standard Tihrkian is spoken in the majority of Tihrkyx Islands, a dialect of the language is spoken below the Southern Range (i.e., the Mehlan Islands, and the villages of Byhrtan and Gakyr)

PHONETICS:
- Lack of long vowels. “Byhrtan” (sometimes written as Byrtan) → Usak TIHRK [*bәʔәrtan] > [*bәʔrtan] > UGH [bәrtan]
- “DH” and “V” are pronounced [-θ] and [-ɸ] at the end of a word and before consonants.
[edit] [view] Xixanyxommskiht (Xixanian)While standard Tihrkian is spoken in the majority of Tihrkyx Islands (i.e., Gainxyx and the most southwest part of Xixanyx), a dialect of the language is spoken above the Sol Range.

PHONETICS:
- Almost every consonant in Xixanian is palatalized before a vowel.
- “R” is pronounced [ʐ-] at the beginning of a word.
- Doubled plosive consonants aren't pronounced aspirated, just longer, just as it was in Pre-Tihrkian. E.g., “atta” (“sand”) is pronounced [atʰa] in TIHRK, but [atːa] in Xixanian.
