About Old Latin
Old Latin refers conventionally to the Latin language spoken before 75 BC, i.e. before the age of Classical Latin.
In the course of a vast timespan, Old Latin evolved into the Latin we all know about. The division between Old and Classical Latin is in truth a philological construct, a gradual evolution being a better description.
I attempted to work out what Latin would have been like before many phonological and morphological changes which would lead to Classical Latin had taken place, such as the vowel weakenings which would be so characteristics of later stages of the language, starting around the 4th century BC.
This language I've worked out would have been perhaps spoken during the founding of Rome.
