About Levantine
Levantine is one of many languages spoken in Earth v. 358. Though speakers of it have formed a independent state, they have a considerable degree of autonomy from their respective countries. They are descended by ancient greek traders who settled in Phoenicia during the Hellenistic period and managed to keep their language and culture by passing off as Arabs or Israelis.
