About Carpathian
Carpathian is an Oghur Turkic language with significant Polish influence alongside a large number of loanwords from Greek (including "zero" and any number that uses 5-10 in its name).
Like Nióruais, Carpathian comes from my alternate timeline world. The idea is to have a modern descendant of the Pannonian/Turkic Avar language (distinct from the Caucasian Avar language that still exists in our world today). In the alternate timeline, the Avar Khaganate lasts another 6-8 years before falling, although it was conquered in 812 by Medieval Poles (who were far more organized by this point in the timeline, having formed a kingdom by 794). Although the Polish nobility ruling Pannonia was isolationist at first, they eventually began to gradually adopt local Avar culture including its language, producing a Sprachbund that, over the centuries, reached out even to the peasantry of the region.
The Empire of Carpathia was formed in the 10th century and re-forged in 1039 after a period of unrest, and never fell again. By 1100, the "Carpathian" identity and language were both distinct from their Polish and Avar origins.
For those of you who have trouble reading Cyrillic, Carpathian also has a Latin transliteration, and most words in the dictionary will contain the Latin transliteration under "Notes". All samples and translations will also feature the Latin transliteration alongside the main Cyrillic one.
