About Gushli
Gushli is an Eastern Vaniuan language primarily spoken in Gushlia, where it is the official national language. As part of the Kashisan subbranch, it is allegedly most closely related to Balak and Rasha and slightly more distantly to Western Kaatian, and is basically like Balak except worse.
Gushlis are chronic qashez glue-sniffers who can just go and eat glove served only with vegetables for all anyone cares, and their language reflects that. Here are just a few of its asinine features that will make you question the language's right to exist in this world:
Historical spelling that will make you want to shoot a Balak which took over 50 lines of PhoMo to get to work
This cheeky little bugger <á> that entered its rebel phase and messed everything up unlike its sensible cousin in Rasha
Allomorphs up the wazoo for anything involving said <á> as an epenthetic vowel
Having /ɕ ʑ t͡ɕ/ instead of /s z t͡s/, thus giving Gushlis a distinctive and plebeian lisp or 'hiss'
Absolutely disgusting rounding of front vowels after labial consonants
Being Gushli
[insert other sinful things here]
Dictionary entries are given with historical spelling as the main spelling and phonetic spelling as the "alternate word" thingy.
