About Ereno
This is fantasy language, designed to represent the language the inhabitants of a collection of small city-states/territories called Erenwathr, named after an old god-emperor "Eren" (Originally called "Eřenwacz"- "Eren's Claim" or "Eren's Land;" its current name is a pun on "acz" "claim" and "aþr" "cracks/shards," referring to the once-unified lands' dilapitated state). It is a very large overall territory, and as such has a large amount of local variation. The main dialect described here is that of the southeastern dialect, that of the large city of Noemopolleh and its environs. The dialect continuum as a whole is part of a larger family, Ereno-Borsig, comprising of Ereno; Borsiker, the language of the western country Borsig (Usik in their tongue, Usike); a more distant cousin of a country to the east, Vemy (Pfümüi); and several other smaller cousins to the north and farther east.
The language is not really supposed to sound like any other language, but when it comes to basic phonetics, Ereno owes a lot to Polish, Mandarin, Dutch, English, Italian, Turkish, and Georgian. Its written form is somewhat like that of Thai (no tones, though). It is VSO, and relies heavily on case markings; in general it is also synthetic/agglutinative. Consonants are extremely volatile between morphemes and within speech, but vowels for the most part are pretty stable. When consonants show volatility, I'll put the actual pronunciation in IPA.
