About Common
Common is the sole official language of the New World Order, a global hegemony that claims the sole right of sovereignty over the entire planet earth. It has 800 million native speakers, about 11% of the global population, and about 4.5 billion L2 speakers. It is a relic of early 21st century pop culture, being created in-world for a "TV" screenshow by one Peter K. Davidson. During the Global Collapse it escaped into the wild, became a code language for young globalist insurgents due to significant overlap with the screenshow fan base, and the rest is history.
