About Common Equestrian
Inside-the-universe description:
Common Equestrian is a common language spoken in modern-day Equestria, a place inhabited mostly by equines. It evolved from merging three languages used by three races of ponies: Unicorns (Old Unicorn), Pegasi (Old Pegasian) and Earth Ponies (Old Earth Ponish) after they came together and started Equestria.
Outside-the-universe description:
This fictional language has been inspired by a short piece of hieroglyphic text in an ancient book read by a character in a cartoon show ("My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"). My attempt is to reconstruct this language so that it fit the piece of text and match the version of it read aloud by the character (Twilight Sparkle) as best as I can. But if this turns out to be impossible, I still want to work on it anyway, to create it entirely from scratch, so that it could possibly become a language that could be used by the fans of that show (Bronies and Pegasisters) if they wish to (kinda like the Klingon language used by the Trekkies ;) ).
