The Harmet Galaxy is a field dwarf spiral galaxy(type SABbd). The galaxy is composed of about one billion stars and spans 30,000 light years and the mass is around 1010 M☉, that is, the mass of the Harmet Galaxy is approximately 1 billion times the mass of the Sun..

The Harmet Galaxy does not have a central bar, and it has very extended spiral arms.

The Harmet Galaxy is located near the centre of the Harmet Void, it does not belong to any galaxy clusters and has no satellite galaxies either, the nearest galaxies to the Harmet Galaxy are approximately 100 million light years away from the centre of the Harmet Galaxy.

Despite being a dwarf galaxy, the Harmet Galaxy is metal-rich, its metallicity is comparable to that of the Milky Way galaxy. Start formation in the Harmet Galaxy is slowing as star-forming gas in the interstellar medium is running out, and the Harmet Galaxy has a relatively low gas mass. There are at least 17 globular clusters in the Harmet Galaxy.

The name Harmet derived from  Mattinese, which literally means "sky river" in  Mattinese.

Harnid is the only planet with sentient beings in the Harmet Galaxy, and possibly the only habitable planet in the galaxy. The name Harnid is from an archaic word for "world" in  Mattinese. Harnid is basically a planet parallel to Urantia(our world) in many aspects, it has the same size of Urantia and also has a moon with the same size. The sun of the solar system of Harnid is also the same to the sun of the solar system of Urantia.

Harnid is dwelt by human beings, both indigenous ones and those from Urantia, and humans are the only known sentient being native to Harnid (and thus the whole Harmet Galaxy). Indigenous languages of Harnid include  Ame language,  Unknown [XAZ],  Mattinese and  Yungzhou Language, languages brought by humans from Urantia include  Town Speech- Plattdytch. The total population of Harnid is around 1.5 billion people, in contrast with the 7.5 billion people of Urantia.
